This free 60-minute class will empower you with simple, effective breathing techniques to help you manage stress (or anxiety), feel energized, and experience inner calm.
Who will benefit from this course? Anyone who wants to utilize breathing to feel more calm, focused and energized. The facilitators will also give tips and insights on using breathing techniques during sports/fitness activities. This is a live online class (not a recorded webinar).
You’ll come away with answers to the following questions:
- What is prana--and how is it different from air?
- How can I become more conscious of my breathing (and why is that important)?
- What can I do to immediately calm myself when stressed or anxious?
- How do I use breathing to focus my restless mind?
- What type of breathing should I practice when I need more energy?
- Is conscious breathing the same as meditation?

When you complete this class, you’ll receive a handout to guide you in practicing the breathing techniques on your own. The handout includes space for you to add your own notes and create a plan customized to your own needs and goals.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS
Vasudha Deming and Harita Davies are both life-long athletes who have practiced meditation–including pranayama breathing techniques–for over 25 years. Vasudha is a distance runner, author and founder of Noble Learning, where she facilitates skills training, meditation classes, and business coaching. Harita is one of the world’s foremost ultra-distance runners, having twice completed the Sri Chinmoy 3100-Mile Race (the world’s longest sanctioned ultra-marathon) as well as dozens of other endurance events. She utilizes breathing techniques to help with stress, happiness, and athletic performance.
How to Join: Once you register for the class, you’ll receive a confirmation email which includes the link for the online session. Two to three days before the class, you’ll receive a second email with the link and instructions for joining. If you cannot find the information, please email email@example.com and we’ll resend.
The online session will take place via Zoom (you do not need an account to join). We take all reasonable security precautions to ensure that only pre-registered participants can join the online session.
