The Meditate On series offers simple, practical techniques to help you quiet your mind and experience a deep sense of well-being. The techniques are suitable for anyone who wants to begin or deepen their meditation practice.
The focus of this 60-minute session is Gratitude. We’ll practice three meditation techniques and discuss ways for you to actively experience the power of gratitude in your daily life.
How will you benefit from this class? Develop your ability to cultivate gratitude and experience its benefits for your mind, heart, and spirit. Explore ways to create a “gratitude practice.” Enjoy the powerful atmosphere of group meditation.
Meditation is an infinitely vast experience. It can be utilized to relieve daily stress or to achieve the highest spiritual awakening—and everything in between! The practical techniques covered in each session of the Meditate On series derive from the teachings of Sri Chinmoy, a highly respected spiritual teacher, athlete, writer, and musician who dedicated his life to the pursuit of global peace and the unlimited potential of the human spirit.
“Our heart’s gratitude produces a sleepless energy which helps us
bring about success in each and every aspect of our life.”
–Sri Chinmoy
At the conclusion of the session, you’ll receive a Noble Learning Skill Sheet to guide you in practicing the meditation techniques on your own. The handout includes space for you to add your own notes and inspirations. (Each Meditate On class has a unique handout.)
Each class in the Meditate On series focuses on a specific them and features inspiration and meditation excercises to help you bring more of this particular quality into your own life. Current topics in the series include:
- Inner silence
- Joy
- Gratitude
- Spiritual Light
