Please join our other class on this date (Thursday, March 31 at 7:00 p.m.): Know Your Heart–The Ideal of Meditation
This class is held at Noble Learning, 3333 Adams Ave. in the Normal Heights area of San Diego. The Noble Learning shop will be open before and after the class.
Don’t miss this free one-time event with special guest Sudhira Hay!
Singing is a powerful way to quiet your mind and feel your heart. In this fun 60-minute session, you’ll explore multiple meditation techniques including singing some simple 2-line mantric melodies. No experience or singing talent is required–these are songs for every heart!
Sudhira will play the Indian harmonium to lead and accompany the singing. We’ll also meditate on the creativity chakra and practice some visualization exercises to reduce stress and increase joy.
Who will benefit from this workshop? Anyone looking for a boost of joy, inspiration and creative expression. These simple mantric melodies will help you to tap into the boundless peace of your spiritual heart.
The workshop is based on the teachings of spiritual teacher Sri Chinmoy,
who was also a prolific artist, writer, and musician.
“There is only one heart:
The heart of humanity.
There is only one song:
The song of oneness-peace.”
–Sri Chinmoy
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS
The Meditation & Singing class is a special event made possible by Sudhira Hay’s brief visit to San Diego.
London-based Sudhira Hay has a beautiful singing voice and a fun, joyful spirit. She has practiced meditation since childhood when she and her mother became students of Sri Chinmoy. Sudhira has performed around the world with multiple music groups. In between her appointments as a professional piano tuner, she loves to play ukelele, practice (and teach) Gyrokinesis, and sing!
Vasudha Deming is an instructional designer, author, and founder of Noble Learning, where she provides skills training and free meditation classes. As a student of Sri Chinmoy for more than 30 years, she enjoys utilizing her skills as a learning professional to create and facilitate classes based on universal spiritual practices. Vasudha uses the techniques taught in this session as part of her daily meditation practice, active fitness regimen, and ongoing stress management.
How to Join: Once you register for the class, you’ll receive a confirmation email. One or two days before the session, we’ll send out a “friendly reminder” email.
